Hi everybody!

My name is Daniel Hodges Jr, Danny for short. I’ve been an artist now for ten years, I never planned on being one, it just happened and now I paint every day. It all began when I was caring for my father in Southern California. His wife had passed and there was nobody to care for him so, I stepped up and dropped everything to move in and help in any way I could.

Pops lived in a particularly bad neighborhood, I couldn’t really leave him alone, besides the occasional trip to the super market for supplies. I was there to help clean his place up and provide the care he needed. While cleaning up I came across art supplies and decided to paint to keep myself busy while he was resting. Painting almost instantly became so therapeutic to me, I was addicted. Having not taken an art class or used how to videos I used the trial and error method. To be honest this is how I formed my distinct style. Glow in the dark art!

My paintings are unique, they have several ways to enjoy them. First off, they’re textured, so feel free to touch them. Second, black light reflective and neon changes the look of my paintings. Plus, the UV light charges the glow in the dark paint to enjoy throughout the night.

Next, in the dark!

I use several different techniques to ensure my art glows longer than it will be dark out. That’s not all, different paints and different colors fade away at different times, so my paintings will slowly morph and change as the night goes on. You’ll end up sitting in the dark. You’ll find yourself turning a black light on and off recharging the painting to watch it change and fade over and over again, I know I do!

Glow in the dark art is very handy. Many parents hang them in their children’s rooms for night lights! My art also works in hallways, bathrooms, and anywhere you could use extra midnight precautions from bumping into things.

My art produces light!

Glowing in the dark art has many uses. I also paint shoes, good for going up dark staircases, walking the trails at night, and more! Another great application is on my dog harnesses, so I always see my baby on walks in the mountains, or anywhere at night. Then there’s the creepiness of my Halloween collection!

So check out my collection and if you like something, please contact me! Have fun playing with  my glow in the dark art, I know I do!

Danny!
